Renowned folk singer Sharda Sinha, affectionately known as the "Bihar Kokila," passed away on November 5, 2024, at the age of 72. Known for her soulful renditions of traditional Bhojpuri, Maithili, and Magahi songs, Sinha was a celebrated cultural icon and a Padma Bhushan recipient, a distinction she earned for her significant contributions to Indian folk music.
