Govardha Asrani Comedian celebrated Actor  Govardhan Asrani, born on January 1, 1941, in Jaipur, India, is a distinguished Indian actor and director renowned for his extensive work in Hindi cinema. Over a career spanning more than five decades, he has appeared in over 350 films, leaving an indelible mark with his versatile performances, especially in comedic roles.  Early Life and Education Asrani hails from a middle-class Sindhi family in Jaipur, where his father owned a carpet shop. He completed his matriculation from St. Xavier's School and graduated from Rajasthan College in Jaipur. To support his education, he worked as a voice artist at All India Radio, Jaipur. His passion for acting led him to the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) in Pune, where he completed his course in 1966.  Career Highlights Asrani's film debut came with the Hindi film "Hare Kaanch Ki Choodiyan" in 1967.
